    Raised golden (brass) butterfly on lid, their iconic logo
    2 inches diameter
    3/8 inch thick
    Signed on case exterior edge in script
    Original base paper label Rachel (likely the make up colour version, which is cream)
    Cream enamel, minimal scuffs, one tiny scratch next to butterfly showing brass, some tiny nicks in enamel on the bottom of case exterior edge
    Brass finish lid rim and butterfly, some finish wear

    Scarce vanity case by Lucretia Vanderbilt, a trademark of McKesson & Robbins Pharma Company
    Art Moderne butterfly logo began in 1928 with blue background. The cream background began in 1936 but did not stay in production very long. Trademark name of the line was sold in 1947. Scovill Manufacturing made the cases for Lucretia Vanderbilt compacts.
