    Description

    Starting in 1966 the Bank of Korea issued South Korean Won banknotes in 12 different denominations, including this 500 South Korean won banknote (Pagoda 1966 issue). They are part of the withdrawn South Korean Won banknotes series. The Bank of Korea started issuing these 500 South Korean Won banknotes in 1966. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1982.
    Sungnyemun, the Southern city gate of Seoul, is featured prominently on this old 500 won banknote from South Korea. On the back side are three turtle ships.
    Very good condition, can see creases in the bill, but no rips or tears.
