Stunning Tiffany & Co 14k Gold & Sapphire Compact & Lipstick w/ Leather Case

Description

Presented is a superb Tiffany & Co 14 karat gold compact and lipstick
case, with original fitted leather case. The compact and the lipstick case are
done in an elegant Art Deco style, with a rayed finish radiating out from a
raised fan design. The center of the fan on each piece is set with four square
cut sapphires. The compact has a removable mesh layer inside, which you put the
powder under, with a mirror in the lid. The lipstick is a twist-bottom
mechanism. The underside of the lipstick as well as the lip of the lid of the
compact are marked BTD and 7-14-60. This is a very classy and attractive little
makeup kit, guaranteed to make an impression.
The compact is in great condition. The mirror is nice and clean with no
corrosion or spotting behind it like you see on old mirrors. The compact snaps
shut nicely. The lipstick is a little stiff when you turn it to push the
lipstick up, but it does work. The leathered case is in good overall shape, with
only minor wear to the exterior, as you expect from an item that's been carried
in someone's purse.
The bottom of the lipstick is stamped Tiffany & Co and 14k. The compact
is stamped Tiffany & Co and 14k on the lip of the lid. The leather case is
signed Tiffany & Co.
The lipstick is about 2 1/8 inches long. The compact measures about 2 3/4 by
2 1/4 inches. The case measures about 4 by 2 1/4 inches.
The compact alone weighs 111.7 grams. The lipstick alone weighs 49.1 grams.
The total weight for both is 160.8 grams.
