Here is a very attractive and unusual vintage powder compact. Compact measures about 2 1/2" in diameter. It has a "jeweled" ormolu gold metal top and a gold mesh underside. The turquoise colored "jewels" appear to be plastic. Compact is in very good condition overall. A few of the tiny loops attaching the gold mesh underside to the frame have detached. There is a little bit of pinkish (powder ?) residue on one area of mesh. The mirror on interior might possibly be a replacement. There is some chipping around edge of mirror and there is some loss to silvering. Powder puff is present. Hinge and latch work fine. I haven't found a maker's mark. Please see photos.
