Description

Here is a lovely vintage powder and rouge compact with stunning green guilloche work cover. It features three separate patterns of guilloche work, a central disc pattern, a wreath that is quite ornate, and an outward pattern of alternating rays of stripes and squiggles. Two pink hand painted roses with green leaves complete the lid. The compact measures 2 1/4" in diameter. Inside is a mirrored lid over the rouge, and a lid on the other side that reveals a compartment of loose powder with original puff. Interestingly, the puff has a tiny button in the center to use as a little knob to pick the puff up. When closed there is a pattern on the gold toned metal frame that runs around the circumference. I see no maker's name, but I really don't know exactly where to look.
