Description
Niloak pottery was produced in Benton, Arkansas. Niloak was founded in 1909 and produced art pottery until 1946. The most sought-after product line produced by Niloak Pottery is mission swirl. Niloak mission swirl was produced between 1909 and 1942.*This is a beautiful a First Mark c.1910 art Missonware pottery Pot. The pot is 4 3/4" tall; 10 1/4" in circumference around its widest area; 7 1/4" around its bottom. The opening at the top is 1 1/2". It is made with swirled earth tones with a matte exterior finish with a glaze finish on the interior. It is marked on the bottom.
PLEASE NOTE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES THE LID HAS RECEIVED REPAIRS OVER THE YEARS. THE "NICKS" APPEAR TO BE QUITE OLD.
First Art Mark: Impressed die stamp (art letters) used from September 1910 to 1924. . Further break down of dates can be determined by the examination of the swirl's colors and the shapes used.
Second Art Mark: Impressed die stamp (art letters) used from 1925 to the end of all Missionware productions.
